Bob Simpson is the only player to have participated in both of Test cricket's tied matches. He played for Australia in the first tied Test against the West Indies in 1960-61, and later as a coach and selector for Australia in the second tied Test against India in 1986-87 at Chennai (then Madras).

Don Bradman, primarily a batsman, did bowl occasionally in Test cricket and took 2 wickets in his career. While famous for his batting average of 99.94, he bowled 11 overs in his Test career, dismissing England's batsmen in two instances.

In Don Bradman's final Test innings at The Oval in 1948, he needed just 4 runs to finish with a career average of exactly 100. He was bowled for a duck (0) by English leg-spinner Eric Hollies, ending his career with the immortal average of 99.94.

In the infamous 1981 underarm bowling incident, Australian captain Greg Chappell instructed his brother Trevor Chappell to bowl the final ball underarm along the ground to prevent New Zealand from hitting the winning six. This controversial act led to a rule change banning underarm deliveries.

Wasim Akram scored 3,717 ODI runs without ever hitting a century. Moin Khan scored fewer runs, while Vettori and Streak had different career statistics. This is a unique record for the legendary Pakistani all-rounder.

Mahela Jayawardene holds the record for the most catches in ODIs as a fielder (non-wicketkeeper), with 218 catches. This makes Option B correct. Rahul Dravid (Option A) also has many catches but fewer than Mahela. Ricky Ponting (Option C) and Stephen Fleming (Option D) are accomplished fielders but don't hold this record.

Total runs after 10 innings = 10 × 21.5 = 215. After 11 innings at average 24, total needed = 11 × 24 = 264. Runs required in 11th inning = 264 - 215 = 49. This tests understanding of how averages change with new data points.

Sanath Jayasuriya scored the fastest ODI fifty in just 17 balls against Pakistan in 1996. This record stood for many years and remains one of the most explosive innings in cricket history.

Shahid Afridi holds the record for the fastest ODI century, scoring 100 runs in just 37 balls against Sri Lanka in 1996. This explosive innings established Afridi's reputation as a hard-hitting batsman.

Yuvraj Singh scored the fastest T20 fifty in just 12 balls against England in the 2007 World T20, famously hitting six sixes in an over. This remains one of the most devastating batting displays in T20 cricket history.
