Sunil Valson (misspelled as Valsan) was the uncapped player in India's 1983 World Cup winning squad. A left-arm medium pacer, he did not play a single match in the tournament as India favored the bowling combination of Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Roger Binny, Balwinder Sandhu, and Mohinder Amarnath.

When Saeed Anwar scored his record 194 runs against India in Chennai in 1997, Rahul Dravid responded with a brilliant 153 runs - the only Indian century in that high-scoring match. Dravid's innings demonstrated his ability to perform under extreme pressure against a world-class attack.

Lance Klusener from South Africa was awarded the Man of the Tournament in the 1999 Cricket World Cup for his exceptional all-round performance. He scored 281 runs and took 17 wickets in the tournament. Shane Warne and Wasim Akram were great bowlers but didn't match Klusener's all-round impact.

Sachin Tendulkar was indeed the first batsman to be given out by the Third Umpire's decision in international cricket. This happened during India's match against South Africa in the 1992 World Cup at Brisbane. The Third Umpire system was first introduced in this World Cup.

Zaheer Khan took the first wicket of the inaugural IPL season in 2008, dismissing Brendon McCullum of Kolkata Knight Riders. McCullum had just scored a famous 158* in the first match, but Zaheer got him early in the second game. Dale Steyn was a legendary bowler but not the first IPL wicket-taker.

Mohammad Azharuddin scored three consecutive centuries in his first three Test matches (1984-85), a unique record in international cricket. He scored 100 vs England at Kolkata, 105 at Madras, and 122 at Kanpur. No other batsman has achieved this feat in Test history.

He was an international football referee from a football-loving Caribbean nation before becoming one of cricket's most respected umpires. Billy Bowden is only known for cricket umpiring.
