Indian Rivers and Waterways

The Sabarmati River originates in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan, specifically near Udaipur district. It flows through Gujarat and empties into the Gulf of Khambhat. As India's premier oil exploration company, ONGC had the technical expertise and infrastructure to conduct subsurface investigations to trace the dried river course.

Nile

Hyderabad is primarily located on the banks of the Musi River, which flows through the city. Hussain Sagar is a man-made lake built during the Qutb Shahi dynasty, not a river. The Krishna and Godavari are major rivers but they flow through other regions of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, not through Hyderabad proper.
