Indian Literature and Authors

Bharatendu Harishchandra is widely regarded as the father of modern Hindi literature and Hindi theatre. He transitioned Hindi literature from the medieval devotional style to modern realism. His works played a significant role in the development of the Khari Boli dialect.

Seth Govind Das was a prominent Indian independence activist and a distinguished writer known for his contributions to Hindi drama. He wrote numerous plays and was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India. His work significantly influenced the evolution of modern Hindi theater.
