World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance held on March 22 to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

Even though India became Independent on August 15, 1947, however the people of the old Hyderabad state and those in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra had to wait for another thirteen months and two days to get freedom from the Nizam's rule.
