After establishing Kavithalaya Productions, K. Balachander directed Azhagan (1991), which was produced by someone else (K. Balachandar himself directed it for another producer). This was unusual as he typically directed films under his own banner after founding his production company.

M.G.R. rejected the Padma Sri award in 1974, protesting against the government's neglect of Tamil cinema artists. He was a Chief Minister later and his principled stand on artists' recognition was well-known in Tamil Nadu.

Sivakarthikeyan and Gokul both started their careers in Kalakka Povathu Yaaru comedy show and later became successful dancers and performers in the Tamil entertainment industry, particularly in dance competitions and shows.

Rajesh and Preetha participated as a couple in the dance competition shows Manada Mayilada and Jodi No 1. They were known as a popular dancing duo in these Vijay TV dance reality shows.

Abhiyum Naanum was a planned project starring Trisha alongside Prakash Raj and Kushboo, but the film was eventually shelved. It was to be directed by Radha Mohan. Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam was another planned project that got cancelled. Sarvam and Manasellam are other films in her career.

Suriya was Trisha's first co-star in Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002), which marked both of their careers as lead actors. This was directed by Kathir. Ajith, Vijay, and Srikanth are popular Tamil actors but Trisha worked with them in later films.

Anushka Shetty made her acting debut in the 2005 Telugu film 'Super' directed by Puri Jagannadh, where she starred alongside Akkineni Nagarjuna. This was before her more famous roles in films like 'Arundhati' and 'Vikramarkudu'.

Samantha made her Telugu debut in the 2010 romantic drama 'Ye Maaya Chesave' directed by Gautham Menon, starring alongside Naga Chaitanya. The film was simultaneously shot in Tamil as 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya', marking her debut in both languages.

Naga Chaitanya made his acting debut in the 2009 Telugu film 'Josh' directed by Vasu Varma. His second film was the more successful 'Ye Maaya Chesave' (2010) directed by Gautham Menon, which often causes confusion about his debut.
