Peter Jackson directed The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), the final film in the trilogy. Philippa Boyens was a co-screenwriter, Barrie M. Osborne was a producer, and Viggo Mortensen played Aragorn but did not direct.

Gore Verbinski directed Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007), the third film in the series. Ted Elliott was a co-screenwriter, Jerry Bruckheimer was the producer, and Stuart Beattie contributed to the screenplay but did not direct.

Ron Howard directed The Da Vinci Code (2006), based on Dan Brown's bestselling novel. Brian Grazer was a producer, Tom Hanks starred as Robert Langdon, and Ridley Scott is a different director known for Gladiator and Blade Runner.

Michael Bay directed Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), known for his explosive visual style. Don Murphy and Lorenzo di Bonaventura were producers, and Steven Spielberg was an executive producer but not the director.

The Wachowski siblings (formerly credited as the Wachowski brothers) directed The Matrix Reloaded (2003). Joel Silver was the producer, Keanu Reeves starred as Neo, and Helmut Bakaitis had a minor acting role but did not direct.

Roland Emmerich directed Independence Day (1996), a landmark alien invasion film. Dean Devlin was a co-writer and producer, Steven Spielberg is a different director famous for Jurassic Park, and David Koepp is a screenwriter who worked on Jurassic Park but did not direct Independence Day.

In the 2003 film Koi Mil Gaya, Hrithik Roshan played Rohit Mehra, a developmentally disabled young man who gains supernatural abilities. The character name is central to the plot.

Shahrukh Khan's television acting debut was in the 1989 DD National serial Fauji, where he played Lieutenant Abhimanyu Rai. It was his first major acting role before films.

Antonio Banderas played Miguel Álvarez, the partner of Tom Hanks' character Andrew Beckett in Philadelphia (1993). The film deals with AIDS discrimination and LGBT rights, and Banderas was praised for his sensitive portrayal of a loving partner supporting his boyfriend through a legal battle and illness.
