The record for highest combined total in an ODI match (874 runs) was set by Australia (434) and South Africa (438) in Johannesburg in 2006. This iconic match featured both teams scoring 400+ runs, with South Africa successfully chasing the then-highest ODI total in a thrilling encounter.

South Africa holds the record for the highest run chase in ODI history, successfully chasing 434 runs against Australia in Johannesburg in 2006. This remarkable innings saw them achieve the seemingly impossible target with just one ball to spare, featuring Herschelle Gibbs' 175 and captain Graeme Smith's 90.

Sachin Tendulkar took both his ODI five-wicket hauls against Australia - 5/32 at Kochi in 1998 and 5/26 at Dhaka in the same year. Though primarily a batsman, he was a useful part-time bowler who could deliver match-winning performances.

The New South Wales Blues won the inaugural Champions League T20 tournament in 2009, defeating Trinidad & Tobago in the final. This was a domestic T20 team from Australia that triumphed in the first edition of this international club competition.
