Antonyms

'Scarcity' means dearth of something or something in less quantity. On contrary, 'plenty' means abundance of something.

'Loathe' means to feel intense dislike, disgust, or hatred for something/somebody. 'Love' means to like something.

'Dormant' means sleeping, quiet, still, inoperative or inactive. Its opposite is 'active' that means dynamic and alive.

'Mundane' means 'of the world; esp., worldly, as distinguished from heavenly, spiritual, etc.' On contrary, 'remarkable'  means unusual, extraordinary or celestial.

'Promotion' means advancement in rank, grade, or position. On contrary, 'demotion' means degrading.

Lenient means showing tolerance or being mild, so the opposite is Harsh which means severe or strict.

Robust means strong and healthy, so Feeble meaning weak or lacking strength is the correct antonym.

Fictitious means invented or imaginary, so Genuine meaning real or authentic is the correct antonym.

Torment means severe physical or mental suffering, while ecstasy refers to intense pleasure or happiness. These are direct opposites on the emotional spectrum - one represents extreme pain, the other extreme joy.

Ugly describes something unpleasant to look at, while attractive refers to something pleasing in appearance. These are direct antonyms describing physical appearance.

Vanity is excessive pride in one's appearance or abilities, while humility is the quality of being modest and having a realistic view of one's importance. These represent opposite attitudes toward self-perception.

Futile means pointless or ineffective, while useful means serving a beneficial purpose. These are opposites in terms of effectiveness and purpose.

Animate means to give life to or bring to life, while kill means to end life. These are direct opposites - one creates life, the other destroys it.

Queer means strange or odd, while ordinary means normal or conventional. These are antonyms - one represents unusualness, the other represents normality.
