Antonyms

Polemical means of or relating to a controversy, argument, or a refutation; conciliatory means to regain friendship or good will by pleasant behaviour, all meant to reconcile or overcome animosity.

Pertain means related or relevant; be irrelevant is the answer.

Frequency suggests appearing or happening at close intervals, rarity suggests infrequency of occurrence.

Blithe means cheerful and light hearted, happy, joyful; grave means serious, or characterized by dignity and sombreness associated with weighty matters.

Precipitate means to cause to happen, especially suddenly and prematurely, speed up or proceed rapidly; deliberate means unhurried in action, movement or manner; slow or taking more time than is usual or necessary.

Arrhythmic means lacking rhythm or regularity; exhibiting regularity is its opposite.

Untoward means not favourable; unpropitious; favourable and anticipated or something looked forward to is the opposite.

Veritable means real or genuine, specious means having the ring of truth or plausibility but actually fallacious.

Deference means courteous respect submission or connections, yielding to the opinion, wishes and judgement of others, admiration, respect, esteem accorded as right or due. Contempt means disparaging or haughty disdain, as for something base or unworthy, scorn.

Opprobrious means expressing contemptuous reproach; abusive; irreproachable means perfect or blameless in every respect, faultless and therefore above contempt, scorn or reproach.

Respect means to have due regard for someone's feelings, rights, or wishes. The antonym disregard means to pay no attention to or ignore someone or something, which is the direct opposite of showing respect. Options A (Conclude), C (Canny), and D (Deny) are not antonyms of respect.

An idiot is a foolish or stupid person. The antonym wise describes someone having or showing experience, knowledge, and good judgment - the direct opposite of foolishness. Option A (Margi), B (Beat), and D (Bent) are unrelated to intelligence or foolishness.

Accumulate means to gather together or increase over time (collect, amass). The antonym disseminate means to spread or scatter widely, which is the direct opposite action. Options A (Mate), B (Multiply), and C (Imitate) are not antonyms of accumulate.
