Antonyms

Rejection is the direct opposite of approval. Approval means acceptance or agreement, while rejection means refusal or denial. Quench means to satisfy, edify means to improve morally, and qualify means to meet requirements - none are antonyms of approval.

Definite means certain, clear, or sure, which is the opposite of doubtful (uncertain or unsure). Single means alone, hood is not an antonym, and settle means to resolve - but definite directly contrasts with the uncertainty implied by doubtful.

Chaos means complete disorder and confusion, which is the opposite of order (organized arrangement). Union means joining together, begin means to start, and life refers to existence - but chaos directly contrasts with the structured nature of order.

Mercurial describes someone or something that is changeable, volatile, or unpredictable (like the liquid metal mercury). Constant means staying the same or unchanging, which is the direct opposite.

Propagate means to spread, promote, multiply, or extend something (like ideas, plants, or signals). To annul means to cancel, revoke, or declare invalid, which opposes the concept of spreading or continuing something.
