Cross-Cultural Communication and Understanding

The primary goal of cross-cultural communication is to foster understanding, cooperation, and collaboration among individuals and groups from different cultural backgrounds.

While cross-cultural communication can contribute to increased understanding and appreciation of different cultures, it does not directly lead to reduced prejudice and discrimination. Prejudice and discrimination are complex societal issues that require broader efforts to address.

Intercultural competence is the ability to communicate effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds. It involves possessing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful cross-cultural interactions.
