Ethics of Terrorism

Terrorism is often seen as a violation of basic human rights, such as the right to life, liberty, and security.

Utilitarianism is an ethical theory that holds that the right action is the one that produces the most good or the least harm. Some terrorists argue that their actions are justified because they believe that they will ultimately lead to a greater good, such as the overthrow of a tyrannical government.
