5G Core Network Functions

The Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) is responsible for managing the mobility of user devices, including authentication, handover, and tracking.

The Network Exposure Function (NEF) is responsible for exposing network information to external applications and services, enabling them to interact with the 5G Core Network.

The Resource Allocation and Control Function (RACF) is responsible for managing the allocation and release of network resources, including radio resources and network slices.

The Unified Data Management (UDM) is responsible for storing and managing subscriber data, including user profiles, subscriptions, and service usage information.

The Gateway Function (GW) is responsible for providing connectivity to external networks, including the Internet, other mobile networks, and enterprise networks.

The Authentication Server Function (AUSF) is responsible for authenticating user devices and generating security keys.

The Network Function Repository (NFR) is responsible for storing and managing network function information, including their capabilities, dependencies, and configuration.
