Pega Process Commander Fundamentals

Pega's class hierarchy includes Assign- as a fundamental base class alongside Work- and Data-. The Assign- class is used for assignment objects in workflows.

Business users are the primary end users who interact with Pega applications to perform their daily work tasks. They receive work assignments, process them according to business rules, and resolve them to complete work items.

Pega's Dynamic Select feature enables cascading dropdowns where one field's choices depend on another field's value. When a Make is selected, the system dynamically filters and updates the available Model options based on that selection.

The Access Group is one of the key sources from which Pega consolidates RuleSet and version information for each user at login. The RuleSet list is dynamically assembled based on the user's Access Group membership along with other sources like Organization and Division.

Declarative rules in Pega Process Commander (PRPC) automatically control when processing occurs based on conditions and changes. Examples include Declare-Expression, Declare-Constraint, and Declare-OnChange rules that trigger processing when specified conditions are met or when property values change. Decision tables and decision trees are rule types that execute logic but don't automate the timing of execution.

In Pega PRPC, harness rules are formally named Rule-HTML-Harness. Harnesses define the UI layout and structure for work object forms and other screens. The naming convention follows the pattern Rule-HTML-Harness where HTML indicates it's a markup-based rule and Harness specifies its purpose.

In Pega flow diagrams, a connector emanating from an Assignment shape represents a flow action. When a user completes an assignment, they select which flow action to execute, and the system follows the corresponding connector to the next shape in the flow. Local actions are alternative actions that don't advance the flow.

Localization requires adapting an application for different regions and languages. Presenting UI in different languages (A), handling different currencies (B), and defining alternate business calendars (C) are all standard localization steps. Since all listed steps ARE involved in localization, there is no step among A-C that is NOT involved - making 'None of the above' correct.

The Top-Down Approach establishes a higher-level structure where properties and rules applicable to multiple leaf classes are defined once and inherited downwards. This promotes reusability and consistency across the class hierarchy. Cross-Class Approach is not a standard Pega methodology for this purpose.

In Pega, classes ending with a dash (-) are abstract classes. 'PegaRP-Work-Object-Admin-' has a trailing dash indicating it is abstract and cannot be directly instantiated. The other options lack this dash notation, making them concrete classes.

In Process Commander, the Unit level provides the most granular level for work identification. An Organization contains Divisions, which contain Units, and Units contain Work Groups. This hierarchy means Unit is the most specific level for identifying work.

RuleSet access can be granted at the Organization level, Division level, and through Job Functions via access groups. However, RuleSet access cannot be directly granted at the Org Unit level - you must use the other mechanisms instead.

An Integrator shape in Pega is specifically designed to connect with external systems and invoke various service rules. It does not create user interfaces (that's for Section/Flow shapes) and cannot invoke ALL service types indiscriminately (option A is too broad).
