FAS (Financial Authorization System) is the module responsible for authorizing transactions in Vision Plus. It performs credit checks, balance verification, and risk assessment before allowing a transaction to proceed. This is distinct from CMS which manages card data.

A monetary transaction involves actual transfer of funds or changes to account balances. Changing a credit limit is a parameter or configuration update - it modifies the account's constraints but does not move money or change the current balance. Therefore, it is classified as a Non-Monetary transaction.

Open To Buy represents the available purchasing power, calculated as the difference between the credit limit and the current outstanding balance. It shows how much more the customer can spend before reaching their credit ceiling. Credit limit is the maximum allowed, while current balance is what's already used.

Other ARQ variant screens (ARQS, ARQO, ARQB, ARQG, ARQN) handle different inquiry functions.
