Climate Change and the Sustainable Development Goals

Climate Action is not a Sustainable Development Goal, but rather one of the targets under Goal 13: Climate Action.

Goal 13: Climate Action is the SDG that is most directly related to climate change. It aims to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Climate change affects Goal 1: No Poverty in all of the ways listed above. It increases the frequency and severity of extreme weather events, which can lead to loss of life, property, and livelihoods.
