Adaptations of Plays

Adaptation is the process of changing a work of art from one medium to another, such as from a play to a film or a novel to a play.

Direct adaptations are those that are very faithful to the original work, while indirect adaptations are those that take more liberties with the original work. Mixed adaptations are those that fall somewhere in between.

Frank Baum has been adapted into numerous films, television shows, and stage musicals.
