The Intersection of Art Censorship and Race

The Miller test, established in Miller v. California, considers whether the average person, applying contemporary community standards, would find the work, taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest, depicts or describes sexual conduct in a patently offensive way, and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value.
