The Garo, Khasi, and Jaintia hills are indeed located in Meghalaya, a state in northeastern India. These hill ranges give Meghalaya its name meaning 'abode of clouds'. Manipur, Tripura, and Nagaland are other northeastern states but don't contain these specific hill ranges.

Easter Island is a Chilean territory in the southeastern Pacific Ocean. Chile annexed the island in 1888 and it remains part of Chile today. Argentina, France, and Brazil have no territorial claim to Easter Island.

The Netherlands is world-famous for its tulips, with the Dutch tulip industry dating back to the 17th century 'tulip mania'. Belgium and Switzerland are European countries but not associated with tulips. Cuba is in the Caribbean and has no connection to tulips.

The Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa is famous for its San people, commonly called Bushmen. The Sahara is in North Africa, the Gobi is in Mongolia/China, and the Australian desert refers to Australia's interior deserts - none are traditionally associated with Bushmen.

Bhutan is known as 'Druk Yul' in the local language, which translates to 'Land of the Thunder Dragon' or 'Kingdom of the Dragon'. This name reflects the deep cultural significance of the dragon in Bhutanese mythology and Buddhism. The thunder dragon is also featured prominently on Bhutan's national flag.

The Netherlands' tricolour (red, white, blue) is considered the oldest existing tricolor flag, dating back to the 16th century when it was used by Dutch rebels during their fight for independence from Spain. France's tricolour was adopted after the French Revolution in 1789, making it much younger. Germany and Italy adopted their tricolors in the 19th century.

The Loch Ness Monster (Nessie) is a cryptid said to inhabit Loch Ness, a large freshwater lake in the Scottish Highlands. Loch Ness is located in Scotland, which is part of the United Kingdom. Ireland, Wales, and England have their own distinct folklore and legendary creatures.

The Wailing Wall, also known as the Western Wall or Kotel, is located in the Old City of Jerusalem. It is a remnant of the ancient Jewish Temple and is the holiest site where Jews are permitted to pray. Jerusalem is a holy city for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, unlike Rome, Bethlehem, or Cairo which don't contain this specific site.

Hirakud Dam, one of the world's longest dams, is built across the Mahanadi River in Odisha state. It was completed in 1957 and serves multiple purposes including irrigation and hydroelectric power generation. The Krishna, Kaveri, and Godavari rivers have their own major dams but not Hirakud.

The Ryukyu Islands form an archipelago stretching southwest from Japan's Kyushu Island toward Taiwan. They are administratively part of Japan and include Okinawa. The chain is not part of Korea, Myanmar, or Indonesia, which are separate countries entirely.

The Gulf of Mannar is a shallow bay located between the southeastern coast of India (Tamil Nadu state) and the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka. It is separated from the Palk Strait by Adam's Bridge (Rama's Bridge). The other options are in completely different regions - the Persian Gulf, Southeast Asia, and East Asia.

The Kirghiz Steppe is an extensive grassland region located primarily in northern Kazakhstan, extending into southern Russia. It is not in Kyrgyzstan (whose name is related but different), Uzbekistan, or Afghanistan. Kazakhstan is the world's largest landlocked country and contains vast steppe regions.
