Social schemas are mental frameworks that we use to organize and interpret social information. They help us to make sense of the world around us and to predict the behavior of others.

The self-serving bias is a cognitive bias that leads us to attribute our own successes to internal factors, such as our ability or effort, and our failures to external factors, such as bad luck or the actions of others.

Implicit personality theory is a theory that suggests that we tend to perceive people in terms of a few simple dimensions, such as good-bad, warm-cold, and strong-weak. These dimensions are used to form impressions of others and to predict their behavior.

Attitude formation is the process by which we form attitudes towards objects, people, and events. This process is influenced by a variety of factors, including our personal experiences, our social environment, and the media.

Social learning theory suggests that attitudes are learned through classical conditioning and operant conditioning. Classical conditioning occurs when a neutral stimulus is paired with a positive or negative stimulus, causing the neutral stimulus to elicit the same response as the positive or negative stimulus. Operant conditioning occurs when a behavior is reinforced or punished, causing the behavior to increase or decrease in frequency.

Cognitive dissonance theory suggests that people are motivated to reduce the inconsistency between their attitudes and their behavior. This can be done by changing either their attitude or their behavior. For example, if someone has a negative attitude towards smoking but they smoke cigarettes, they may experience cognitive dissonance. They can reduce this dissonance by either quitting smoking or changing their attitude towards smoking.

The similarity-attraction effect is the tendency to perceive people who are similar to us as being more trustworthy and likeable. This effect is thought to be due to the fact that we are more comfortable with people who share our values, beliefs, and attitudes.

Social identity theory suggests that people's behavior is influenced by their social identity. Social identity is the part of our self-concept that is based on our membership in social groups. When we identify with a particular group, we are more likely to conform to the norms and values of that group.

Out-group bias is the tendency to perceive people who are different from us as being more untrustworthy and less likeable. This effect is thought to be due to the fact that we are more likely to fear and distrust people who are different from us.

Expectancy-value theory suggests that people's behavior is influenced by their expectations about the outcomes of their actions. According to this theory, people are more likely to engage in behaviors that they expect to lead to positive outcomes and less likely to engage in behaviors that they expect to lead to negative outcomes.

The halo effect is the tendency to perceive people in a positive light, even when they have negative qualities. This effect is thought to be due to the fact that we tend to focus on the positive aspects of people and to ignore or downplay their negative aspects.

Attitude inoculation theory suggests that people's attitudes can be changed by exposing them to persuasive messages. According to this theory, people who are exposed to persuasive messages that challenge their existing attitudes are more likely to change their attitudes in the direction of the persuasive message.

The physical attractiveness stereotype is the tendency to perceive people who are physically attractive as being more intelligent, trustworthy, and successful. This stereotype is thought to be due to the fact that we tend to associate physical attractiveness with positive qualities.

Social learning theory suggests that people's attitudes are influenced by their social environment. According to this theory, people learn attitudes from the people around them, such as their parents, friends, and teachers. They also learn attitudes from the media and from their culture.
