Organizational Research Methods and Data Analysis

Surveys, experiments, and interviews are all widely used methods for collecting data in organizational research. Surveys involve gathering information from a large number of respondents through questionnaires, experiments involve manipulating variables to study their effects, and interviews involve in-depth conversations with individuals.

A t-test is an example of a parametric statistical test. Parametric tests assume that the data is normally distributed and that the variances of the groups being compared are equal. ANOVA (analysis of variance) is also a parametric test, while the Chi-square test and Kruskal-Wallis test are non-parametric tests.

Regression analysis is a statistical technique used to identify the relationship between two or more variables, predict the value of one variable based on the values of other variables, and determine the causal effect of one variable on another.

Ethical considerations in organizational research include obtaining informed consent from participants, protecting the privacy of participants, avoiding harm to participants, and ensuring that the research is conducted in a responsible and ethical manner.
