History of India

The Indus Valley Civilization, also known as the Harappan Civilization, flourished around 2500-1900 BCE in the Indus River valley region. It was known for its sophisticated urban planning, with well-organized streets, drainage systems, and sanitation facilities.

Chandragupta Maurya, also known as Chandragupta I, is credited with founding the Maurya Empire in 321 BCE. He was a brilliant military strategist and administrator who expanded the empire's territory and established a strong central government.

Mahatma Gandhi, also known as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, is widely recognized for his advocacy of non-violence and civil disobedience as a means of achieving political and social change.
