MALLAR-PHA was the port where the european traders came via sea route to sell their wares ovewr 2000 years ago . In the absence of a light house they used to find the shore using a temple tower on the shore.Over the years sea water has receeded and the temple is no longer ashore temple .Yet it draws many devotees every day Where in Tamil nadu is this temple located ?
