In the Ramayana, Ravana held Sita captive in Ashokvan (Ashoka Vatika) in Lanka. This was a beautiful garden where she was guarded by demonesses. Panchvati, Dandakaranya, and Chitrakuta are locations from the Ramayana but are where Rama and Sita lived during their exile, not where she was held in Lanka.

Sita was the adopted daughter of King Janaka of Mithila, who found her while ploughing a field. She is also known as Janaki (daughter of Janaka). Dasaratha was Rama's father, Vibheeshana was Ravana's brother who sided with Rama, and Himavaan was a mountain god.

Mandodari was Ravana's chief queen in the Ramayana. She was known for her wisdom and virtue, and often counseled Ravana against his actions, particularly regarding Sita's abduction. Shrutakirti and Mandavi were wives of Rama's brothers, while Simhika was a demoness.

Ayodhya was the capital city of the Kosala kingdom in ancient India. It was ruled by King Dasharatha and later his son Lord Rama. Mithila was Janaka's kingdom, Indraprastha was the Pandavas' capital, and Lanka was Ravana's kingdom.

Rama is considered the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism, who descended to earth to restore dharma. Vishnu is the preserver and protector of the universe among the Trimurti.

Kumbhakarna was Ravana's brother known for his extraordinary sleeping ability - he would sleep for six months at a stretch due to a boon that was twisted into a curse by the gods.

Jatayu, the noble vulture king, bravely fought Ravana to stop him from abducting Sita. Though defeated, he survived long enough to inform Rama about Sita's abduction.

Indira Gandhi received Bharat Ratna in 1971, making her the first Indian woman to receive this honor. Mother Teresa received it in 1980 and M.S. Subbulakshmi in 1998.

Mareecha, a demon who was also Rama's uncle, helped Ravana by transforming into a golden deer to distract Rama and Lakshmana, enabling Ravana to abduct Sita.

Andhra Pradesh is the largest egg-producing state in India, contributing significantly to the country's poultry production. The state has a well-developed poultry industry.

According to Article 53 of the Indian Constitution, the Supreme Command of the Armed Forces vests in the President, though they exercise this power on the advice of the elected government.

C. Rajagopalachari became the first Indian Governor General of independent India in 1948, serving until 1950 when the office was replaced by the President of India.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad served as the first President of independent India from 1950 to 1962. He was a key leader of the independence movement and a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India's first Home Minister, also served as the first Deputy Prime Minister from 1947-1950 under Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He was instrumental in integrating princely states.

Rajkumari Amrit Kaur was India's first woman Cabinet Minister, serving as the Health Minister in independent India's first cabinet under Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru from 1947-1957. Dr. Vijayalakshmi Pandit was a distinguished diplomat and sister of Nehru but not the first woman Cabinet Minister. Dr. Annie Besant was a theosophist and freedom fighter who passed away before independence. Sheila Dixit became Chief Minister of Delhi much later in 1998.

Article 58 of the Indian Constitution states that a person must be at least 35 years of age to be eligible for election as President of India. This is the minimum age requirement for presidential candidacy. Options suggesting 50 or 60 years are incorrect - these are higher than the actual minimum age requirement.

Article 56 of the Indian Constitution states that the President holds office for a term of five years from the date of entering upon office. The President can seek re-election and there is no strict limit on the number of terms. The five-year term is standard for the highest constitutional office in India.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was one of India's most distinguished scientists before becoming President from 2002-2007. He was a renowned aerospace engineer who played a key role in India's missile development program and nuclear capabilities, earning him the nickname 'Missile Man of India'. Dr. Zakir Hussain was an educationist. R. Venkataraman and Neelam Sanjiva Reddy were politicians rather than scientists.
