Gupta Coins

Chandragupta II, also known as Vikramaditya, introduced the gold coins called Dinars, which were widely used in trade and commerce during his reign.

Gold was the primary metal used for minting Gupta coins, particularly for the higher denominations. Silver and copper were also used, but to a lesser extent.
