Indian Mathematical Awards and Data Science

The Ramanujan Prize is the highest mathematical award in India, given annually by the Indian National Science Academy to recognize outstanding work in mathematics by a mathematician below the age of 32.

Srinivasa Ramanujan was the first recipient of the Ramanujan Prize in 1927.

The Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize is awarded in the fields of Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Mathematical Sciences. Engineering Sciences is not a category of the award.

S. S. Shrikhande was the first recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Mathematical Sciences in 1968.

The Padma Shri award is given in the fields of Art, Science & Engineering, Social Work, and Public Affairs. Sports is not a category of the award.
