Code-Switching refers to the practice of alternating between two or more languages within a single conversation or utterance. It is distinct from Code-Mixing, which involves the integration of elements from different languages into a single utterance.

Individual Motivation is not typically considered a factor that influences language contact phenomena. Geographical Proximity, Political and Economic Factors, and Social and Cultural Factors are all external factors that can contribute to language contact.

Language Borrowing refers to the process by which a language adopts words, phrases, or grammatical structures from another language.

Language Mixing is not a strategy used by bilingual speakers to manage language interference. Selective Attention, Inhibition, and Code-Switching are all strategies that help bilingual speakers to focus on the target language and reduce the influence of the non-target language.
