Child Rights Reforms

Article 21A of the Indian Constitution, inserted by the 86th Amendment Act, 2002, guarantees free and compulsory education for all children between the ages of 6 and 14.

The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) program was launched by the Government of India in 1975 to improve the health and nutrition of children under the age of 6.
