ISRO's Space Technology and Applications

ISRO was established on August 15, 1962, by the Government of India.

Vikram Sarabhai, known as the 'Father of the Indian Space Program', served as the first Chairman of ISRO from its inception in 1962 until his untimely demise in 1971.
