Hindi is the official language of Uttar Pradesh, as well as the most widely spoken language in the state.

Hindi is spoken by the largest number of people in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Bhojpuri, Awadhi, and Urdu.

Bhojpuri is spoken in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, as well as in parts of Bihar and Jharkhand.

Awadhi is spoken in the western part of Uttar Pradesh, as well as in parts of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
