Tadka (also known as Tataka) was a rakshasi (demoness) in the Ramayana epic who was the mother of Mareech and Subahu, both powerful demons. She was killed by the sage Vishwamitra, who later became Rama's guru and guide. Lankini and Trijata were other female demons in the Ramayana, while Sursa appears in the Mahabharata context.
