Indian History: Ancient Kingdoms to Independence Movement

Sher Shah Suri (1540-1545) adopted several administrative innovations from Ala-ud-din Khilji's reign (1296-1316), including an efficient revenue system, a well-organized spy network, and direct control over the nobility.
