District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs)

As per the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the District Collector serves as the chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).

The DDMA is responsible for all aspects of disaster management, including preparedness, response, relief, and rehabilitation.

Members of Parliament are not members of the DDMA. The authority consists of government officials and experts in disaster management.
