Pingali Venkayya (also spelled Venkaiah) designed the Indian National Flag in 1921. He was a freedom fighter from Andhra Pradesh who presented the design to Mahatma Gandhi. The flag was adopted in its present form on July 22, 1947. Tagore, Bankim Chandra, and Gandhi were cultural leaders, not flag designers.

Ramprasad Bismil wrote 'Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna Ab Hamare Dil Mein Hai' as a revolutionary poem during India's freedom struggle. He was a key member of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association and was hanged in 1927 for the Kakori conspiracy. Mohammad Iqbal wrote 'Saare Jahan Se Accha,' not this poem.

Zaheer ud-din Mohammad Babar (Babur) founded the Mughal Empire in 1526 by defeating Ibrahim Lodi, the last Sultan of Delhi, at the First Battle of Panipat. Babur was a Turkic-Mongol prince from Fergana Valley who descended from Timur and Genghis Khan on his paternal and maternal sides respectively. Genghis Khan founded the Mongol Empire, Balban was a Delhi Sultan, and Kamal Pasha was an Ottoman leader.

The First Battle of Panipat (1526) was fought between Ibrahim Lodi (the last Lodi dynasty ruler of Delhi) and Babur (the founder of the Mughal Empire). Babur's victory marked the beginning of Mughal rule in India.

Bairam Khan served as Akbar's guardian and regent when Akbar ascended the throne at age 13 in 1556. Bairam Khan protected and guided the young emperor until Akbar came of age and assumed full control.

The correct chronological order is: Babar (1526-1530) founded the Mughal Empire, Humayun (1530-1540, 1555-1556), Akbar (1556-1605) expanded it greatly, Jahangir (1605-1627), Shahjahan (1628-1658) built the Taj Mahal, and Aurangzeb (1658-1707) expanded it to its greatest extent but also sowed seeds of decline.

Noor Jahan (born Mehr-un-Nissa) was the twentieth wife of Jahangir and one of the most powerful women in Mughal history. She effectively ruled the empire during Jahangir's later years when he struggled with health and addiction issues. Mumtaz Mahal was Shahjahan's wife, not Jahangir's.
