Titumir (1782-1831), a famous rebel against British rule and zamindars, was born as Syed Mir Nisar Ali. He led the Farazi movement and built the famous bamboo fort (Banser-Kella) in 1831. Syed Md. Ali, Syed Nisar Ali, and Syed Ali are incorrect - his full name included both Mir and Nisar.

BBD Bag stands for Benoy-Badal-Dinesh, the three revolutionary freedom fighters who assassinated the brutal British police officer Col. N.S. Simpson in 1930 at the Writers' Building in Kolkata. Benoy Basu, Badal Gupta, and Dinesh Gupta carried out this attack to avenge the oppression of political prisoners.

Khudiram Bose, at just 18 years old, was hanged in 1908 for attempting to assassinate British judge Kingsford by throwing a bomb at his carriage. He is widely regarded as one of the youngest and earliest martyrs of the Indian independence movement from Bengal.

After capturing Calcutta in 1756, Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah renamed the city Alinagar, meaning 'the city of Ali'. This was done to mark his victory over the British East India Company and to Islamicize the city's name.

Job Charnock is traditionally credited with the founding of Calcutta (Kolkata) in 1690 by combining the three villages of Sutanuti, Gobindapur, and Kalikata. Although modern courts have contested this 'founding' status, historically it is taught as true.

Lal-Bal-Pal refers to the trio of prominent Indian nationalists during the independence movement: Lala Lajpat Rai (Punjab), Bal Gangadhar Tilak (Maharashtra), and Bipin Chandra Pal (Bengal). They were known as 'Lal-Bal-Pal' and advocated for Swaraj (self-rule).

The museum was originally called the Prince of Wales Museum (note the correct spelling is 'Prince' not 'Price'). It was renamed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya in 1998. The other options are fictional names - Queen Elizabeth Museum, Lord Mackensey, and Queen Victoria Museum were never the names of this museum. The Battle of Haldighati (1576) was fought between Maharana Pratap of Mewar and the Mughal forces led by Man Singh I (representing Akbar). It was a fierce battle in a narrow mountain pass in Rajasthan. While neither side achieved a decisive victory, Maharana Pratap became legendary for his resistance against Mughal expansion. Kalinga was fought by Ashoka, Panipat battles involved Afghan/Mughal conflicts, and Plassey was a British victory in Bengal.

The Red Fort in Delhi was built by Shah Jahan between 1638 and 1648 when he shifted his capital from Agra to Delhi. It served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. The fort's red sandstone walls give it its name. Akbar built the Agra Fort, and Qutb-ud-din Aibak built the Qutub Minar complex.

The Agra Fort was built by Akbar between 1565 and 1573. While earlier fortifications existed on the site, Akbar commissioned the massive red sandstone fortification that stands today. It served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until Shah Jahan moved the capital to Delhi. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and showcases a blend of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.

Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodi in the First Battle of Panipat in 1526, establishing the Mughal Empire in India. Akbar and Humayun were Babur's descendants who ruled later, while Jehangir was Akbar's son. The battle marked the beginning of Mughal rule in the Indian subcontinent.

The capital of British India was shifted from Calcutta to Delhi in 1911 during the Delhi Durbar, announced by King George V. This move aimed to be more centrally located and responsive to Indian political sentiment. 1935 marks the Government of India Act, while 1900 and 1929 are unrelated.

Kalidasa, Sanskrit literature's greatest poet, lived in the court of Chandragupta Vikramaditya (Chandragupta II) of the Gupta Empire, approximately 380-415 CE. The Gupta period is called the Golden Age. Ashoka was Mauryan, Bimbisara was earlier, and Akbar was Mughal.

Seleukos Nikator (Seleucus I Nicator), one of Alexander's generals who ruled parts of Asia after Alexander's death, married his daughter to Chandragupta Maurya as part of a diplomatic alliance around 305 BCE. This also led to Seleucus ceding territories to Chandragupta. Ptolemaius, Diomedes, and Clitus are not associated with this marriage alliance.

Tipu Sultan, the ruler of Mysore, pioneered the use of iron-cased rockets in warfare during the late 18th century, notably against the British in the Anglo-Mysore Wars. His rockets influenced later British rocket development. Hyder Ali was his father but Tipu developed the rocket corps.

The Brihadeeswara Temple at Thanjavur (Tanjore) was built by Rajaraja Chola I of the Chola dynasty around 1010 CE, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It's a masterpiece of Chola architecture and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mughals built in North India, while Chera and Pandya were other South Indian dynasties.

Muhammad bin Tughlaq (1325-1351) is called the 'Mad Monarch' for his eccentric and failed experiments like shifting capital from Delhi to Daulatabad, introducing token currency, and tax reforms in Doab region. His ideas were ahead of time but poorly executed. Hyder Ali, Qutb-ud-din Aibak, and Aurangzeb aren't called mad monarchs.
