Barbarik (also known as Barbarika) was the son of Ghatotkacha and grandson of Bhima (Bheem) in the Mahabharata epic. He was a brave warrior who received three powerful arrows and had the boon to end the war in minutes. However, Krishna tested his principles and ultimately asked for his head as sacrifice, leading to his martyrdom before the great war began.

Siddhartha Gautama, who became the Buddha, attained enlightenment (nirvana) while meditating under a pipal (peepal) tree in Bodh Gaya. This tree, known as the Bodhi Tree, became the most sacred symbol in Buddhism as it represents the place of the Buddha's awakening. The event occurred after 49 days of meditation, when he achieved complete understanding of the nature of suffering and liberation.

The Buddhacarita, written by Ashvaghosha in the 1st or 2nd century CE, is considered the earliest full biography of Buddha. It is a Sanskrit mahakavya (epic poem) that chronicles the Buddha's life from his birth as Prince Siddhartha to his enlightenment and teaching career. While other texts like Lalitavistara and Mahavastu contain biographical material, Buddhacarita is recognized as the most systematic early biography.

Lumbini, located in present-day Nepal, is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama who became the Buddha. Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Prince Siddhartha under a sal tree in Lumbini's gardens in 563 BCE. This site is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in Buddhism, marked by the Maya Devi Temple and the Ashoka pillar.

Buddha's mother was Queen Mahamaya (also called Maha Maya), wife of King Suddhodana of the Shakya kingdom. She died seven days after giving birth to Siddhartha, who was then raised by her sister Mahapajapati Gotami. Kalavati Devi and Vijaylakshmi are not associated with Buddha's birth, while Kaushalya Devi was Dasharatha's wife (Ramayana).

After Queen Mahamaya's death seven days after Siddhartha's birth, her younger sister Mahapajapati Gotami raised Siddhartha as her own son. She later became the first woman to request ordination into the Buddhist sangha. Maha Kaya and Maha Devi are not historical figures in this context, and Maha Maya was his biological mother who died early.

Buddha's wife was Yasodhara (also called Yashodhara or Bimbadevi), daughter of King Suppabuddha, and his son was Rahula, born just before Siddhartha left palace life. Rahula later became a monk and is known for his strict discipline. Option A incorrectly spells the wife's name and son's name, while Option D has similar spelling errors.

Siddhartha attained enlightenment (bodhi) under the Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya (then called Uruvela) in modern-day Bihar, after years of ascetic practice and meditation. This event marked the beginning of Buddhism. Kapilvastu was his birthplace, Sarnath is where he gave his first sermon (Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta), and Rajagriha was where he spent many rainy seasons later.

In the Mahabharata's Draupadi svayamvara, both Karna and Arjuna successfully lifted the heavy bow (Gandiva or similar). Karna was about to complete the task but Draupadi rejected him due to his presumed low caste (being a charioteer's son). Arjuna then stepped up, completed the challenge, and won Draupadi's hand. Duryodhan and Shishupal failed to lift the bow.

Shishupala, king of Chedi, was killed by Krishna during Yudhishthira's Rajasuya sacrifice after committing 100 offenses. Krishna had promised his cousin (and Shishupala's mother) that he would forgive Shishupala's first 100 transgressions, but would kill him if he committed a 101st offense. Jarasandh was killed by Bhima in a wrestling duel, Drishtadyumn survived the Kurukshetra war, and Shalya was killed by Yudhishthira.

Vidura, the wise minister of Hastinapura and half-brother to Pandu and Dhritarashtra, learned through his network that the Pandavas had survived the lakshagraha (wax palace) fire. He secretly helped them escape and warned them of Duryodhana's ongoing plots. 'Gangaputra' refers to Bhishma, Sanjay was the charioteer with divine vision, and Shakuni engineered the trap.

During the Pandavas' 13th year of incognito exile in Matsya kingdom, Bhima (disguised as the cook Vallabha) killed Keechaka, Queen Sudeshna's brother and the army commander, after Keechaka attempted to molest Draupadi (disguised as Sairandhri). This was a pivotal moment in their year of hiding. Jarasandh was killed in Year 14, Bakasur in earlier years, and Shishupal by Krishna.

Devadatta, Buddha's cousin and fellow monk, made multiple attempts to kill Buddha out of jealousy and desire to lead the Buddhist sangha. He sent a boulder to crush Buddha (which only injured his foot), hired assassins, and even sent a drunken elephant named Nalagiri. Despite these attempts, Buddha survived. Suddhodhana was Buddha's father, and Ashoka lived centuries later.

Siddhartha Gautama was born into the Kshatriya (warrior-ruler) varna of the Varna system. His father Suddhodhana was the king (raja) of the Shakya kingdom, a Kshatriya clan ruling Kapilavastu. This princely background explains his access to education, training, and the luxurious life he later renounced. Brahmins were priests, Shudras were servants, and Vaishyas were merchants.

February 28 is National Science Day in India, commemorating C.V. Raman's discovery of the Raman Effect in 1928 for which he won the Nobel Prize. World Water Day is March 22. 'Fun Day' is not a recognized observance. China's National Day is October 1. Option D contains a spelling error ('Indepandance').

March 22 is UN World Water Day, established in 1993 to focus attention on freshwater resources. Hiroshima Day is August 6. World Disabled Day is December 3 (International Day of Persons with Disabilities). 'Sleep Day' is not a standard observance (World Sleep Day is a movable observance in March).

Hiroshima Day commemorates the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, during World War II. This date is observed annually to remember the victims and promote peace.

Human Rights Day is observed annually on December 10th to commemorate the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the UN General Assembly in 1948. This date was chosen specifically to honor the document's proclamation date.

National Technology Day is celebrated on May 11th in India to commemorate the successful nuclear tests at Pokhran in 1998 (Operation Shakti). This day also honors India's achievements in technology and scientific innovation.
