India's Space Missions and Astrophysics

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the national space agency of India, responsible for the country's space program and its participation in international space missions.

Aryabhata was India's first dedicated astronomy satellite, launched in 1975. It was named after the renowned Indian astronomer and mathematician Aryabhata.
