A lintel is a horizontal support beam that spans an opening in a wall, such as a window or door, to carry the weight of the wall above.

An arch is a curved architectural element that spans an opening and supports the weight above it, such as a doorway or window.

A cornice is the topmost part of a wall, typically consisting of a horizontal molding or cornice that projects outward from the wall.

A column is a vertical support that extends from the foundation to the roof of a building, typically consisting of a circular or square cross-section.

An architrave is the decorative molding that runs along the top of a door or window frame.

A pediment is the triangular decorative element that sits above a door or window.

A frieze is the horizontal band of decoration that runs along the top of a wall or building.

A gable is the sloping roof of a building, typically consisting of two triangular sides that meet at a ridge.

A fascia is the decorative molding that runs along the bottom of a roof.

Eaves are the overhanging edge of a roof.

A downspout is the vertical gutter that carries rainwater from the roof to the ground.

A gutter is the horizontal gutter that collects rainwater from the roof.

A louver is a small opening in a wall that allows air to circulate.

A capital is the decorative molding that runs along the top of a column.

A base is the decorative molding that runs along the bottom of a column.
