Manchester United was originally founded in 1878 as 'Newton Heath Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Football Club' (Newton Heath L&YR F.C.). The club changed its name to Manchester United in 1902. 'Newton Heath F.C.' was the name after 'L&YR' was dropped but before becoming Manchester United.

Kobe Bryant was drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1996 NBA Draft, but his rights were immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Vlade Divac. This pre-arranged trade is one of the most famous draft-day deals in NBA history. Bryant never played a single game for the Hornets.

Shaquille O'Neal played his first four NBA seasons (1992-1996) with the Orlando Magic after being drafted 1st overall in 1992. He led the Magic to the 1995 NBA Finals before signing with the Lakers as a free agent in 1996. The Miami Heat option refers to his later career (2004-2008).
