The Mughal Empire: A Blend of Cultures and Conquests

Babur, a descendant of Timur and Genghis Khan, established the Mughal Empire in India after defeating the Delhi Sultanate at the Battle of Panipat in 1526.

Akbar, the third Mughal emperor, is renowned for his religious tolerance and promotion of cultural harmony. He abolished the jizya tax on non-Muslims, encouraged interfaith dialogue, and patronized scholars and artists from various backgrounds.
