Feminist political theory is a broad field of study that encompasses a wide range of topics, including the role of women in the political sphere, the relationship between gender and power, and the impact of gender on public policy.

Postmodern feminism is not a major branch of feminist political theory. It is a more recent development in feminist thought that challenges the traditional focus on gender as a binary category.
