Critical Race Theory

Critical Race Theory posits that race is a social construct, rather than a biological reality, and that racism is a system of power and privilege that benefits white people at the expense of people of color.

Derrick Bell, Kimberlé Crenshaw, and Richard Delgado are three of the most prominent Critical Race Theorists. They have written extensively about the ways in which race and racism shape the law, society, and culture.

Intersectionality, white privilege, and racial formation are three of the key concepts of Critical Race Theory.
