Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO

Depth of field refers to the range of distances that appear sharp in an image. The shutter speed is the length of time that the shutter remains open, exposing the sensor to light. A faster shutter speed (shorter duration) freezes motion, while a slower shutter speed (longer duration) blurs motion.

Motion blur occurs when the subject moves during the exposure, causing the image to appear blurred. A slower shutter speed (longer duration) allows more time for the subject to move, resulting in more motion blur. Conversely, a faster shutter speed (shorter duration) freezes motion, reducing or eliminating motion blur.

ISO is a measure of the sensitivity of the camera's sensor to light. A higher ISO value means that the sensor is more sensitive to light, allowing you to capture images in low-light conditions without using a flash. However, higher ISO values can also introduce noise into the image.

Image noise refers to the unwanted graininess or speckling that can appear in an image, especially in low-light conditions. A higher ISO value increases the sensitivity of the sensor to light, but it also amplifies the noise in the image. Therefore, higher ISO values can result in more image noise.
