Ajantha Mendis from Sri Lanka developed the carrom ball, a unique delivery that grips between thumb and finger and flicks like a carrom puck. The ball can spin in either direction unpredictably, making it difficult for batsmen. While Muralitharan used similar deliveries, Mendis is credited with inventing this specific variation.

Saqlain Mushtaq from Pakistan is credited with inventing the doosra, a delivery that spins away from right-handed batsmen despite an off-break grip. He developed it in the late 1990s, though Muralitharan later became its most famous practitioner. Harbhajan Singh also used it effectively, but Saqlain was the inventor.

Under traditional football (soccer) rules, teams are allowed three substitutions during a 90-minute match. These can be made at halftime or during stoppages in play. Modern rules temporarily expanded this, but the standard number remains three. Two (A) is insufficient, while four (B) and five (D) exceed traditional limits.
