The National Sports Development Code of India, 2011 is the governing document for the formation and functioning of NSFs in India. It provides a framework for the governance, administration, and management of NSFs.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is the nodal agency for the promotion and development of sports in India. It is responsible for formulating and implementing sports policies, programs, and schemes.

The primary role of SAI is to promote and develop sports at the grassroots level. It provides financial assistance, infrastructure, and training facilities to sportspersons and NSFs to help them achieve excellence.

The Public Gambling Act, 1867, the Prize Competitions Act, 1955, and the Lotteries (Regulation) Act, 1998 are the three main laws that regulate betting and gambling activities in India.

The Sports Regulation Act, 2005 governs the registration and recognition of sports associations in India. It provides a framework for the formation, governance, and administration of sports associations.

The National Sports Awards are given to recognize and honor outstanding achievements in sports. They are awarded annually to sportspersons, coaches, and administrators who have made significant contributions to the development of sports in India.

The Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award is the highest sporting honor in India. It is given to the best sportsperson of the year in India.

The Sports Scholarship Scheme provides financial assistance to talented sportspersons, encourages sportspersons to pursue higher education, and promotes sports at the grassroots level.

The National Anti-Doping Agency Act, 2009 governs the doping control in sports in India. It provides a framework for the establishment and functioning of the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).
