Sachin Tendulkar was the highest run-scorer in both the 1996 and 2003 ICC Cricket World Cups. In 1996, he scored 523 runs including two centuries, and in 2003 he amassed 673 runs with one century. He missed the 1999 World Cup due to injury and didn't lead the run charts in 1992 (his first World Cup).

Sachin Tendulkar played in 6 ICC Cricket World Cups from 1992 to 2011 (1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011). This is a record for most World Cups played by a single cricketer. Only the 2007 World Cup was a partial appearance due to his injury, but he still participated in the tournament.
