Christianity and Islam are the two largest religions in the world by number of adherents. While other religions listed are also significant, the question appears to focus on global spread and follower count.

Emperor Constantine the Great issued the Edict of Milan, which legalized Christianity, and he is credited with beginning the transition of the Roman Empire to Christianity.

According to the New Testament, Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem in Judea.
