Tamilnadu is the largest producer of Bananas. According to 2014 reports, India stands number in the production of Bananas. The report said that 9 million tonnes of the 29.7 million tonnes of bananas produced in 2014 in India was from Tamil Nadu.

Net enrollment ratio is defined as the enrollment of the official age-group for a given level of education. The purpose of NER is to show the extent of participation in a given level of education of children and youths belonging to the official age-group corresponding to the given level of education. Net Enrollment Ratio of Tamilnadu primary schools in 2012-2013 are 99.49%.

Tanjavur which is a city in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu is called as Rice bowl of Tamil Nadu. The city is an important agricultural centre located in Cauvery Delta.

Tamil Nadu has achieved cent percent access at the Primary level in the year 2002-2003.

Golden Quadrilateral is a network of highways connecting India's four top metropolitan cities, namely Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, thereby, forming a quadrilateral. The largest highway project in India, the Golden Quadrilateral project was launched in 2001 as part of National Highways Development Project (NHDP). Tamilnadu is a terminus for the Golden Quadrilateral project that connects four major metropolitan cities in India.

• State Express Transport Corporation (Tamil Nadu) is a state-owned transport corporation that runs long distance mofussil services exceeding 300 km and above throughout the state of Tamil Nadu and major cities in adjoining states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and the union territory of Puduchery.
• Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Limited (TNSTC) is a public transport bus operator in Tamil Nadu, India. It operates Intercity bus services to cities within Tamil Nadu, and from Tamil Nadu to its neighbouring states with a combined fleet strength of 20,839 buses as of 2016-17. It also operates Public transport bus service in many cities of Tamil Nadu, with the exception of Chennai, where the public bus service is operated by MTC, a subsidiary of TNSTC.

Southern railways are one of the 17 railway zones of India. Its headquarters are located in Chennai of Tamilnadu state.  It covers the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry and small portions of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. 

According to various NITI Aayog reports on health outcomes, Tamil Nadu has consistently ranked among the top states in India for health infrastructure and performance.

Tamil Nadu has a high literacy rate compared to the national average and many other states in India, reflecting its focus on education and social development.

Tamil Nadu is one of the most urbanized states in India, with an urban population percentage of approximately 48.4% according to recent census data.

According to NITI Aayog reports, the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) for Tamil Nadu in 2016 was 17 per 1000 live births.

A well-developed transportation network is a fundamental requirement for industrial growth and investment, which holds true for Tamil Nadu.

Maravakandy, Hundah, and Periyar are all recognized hydroelectric power projects located in Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu has three major ports: Chennai Port, Ennore Port (Kamarajar Port), and V.O. Chidambaranar Port (Tuticorin).

Tamilnadu Board of secondary Education was established in 1911. The Tamilnadu State board of School Examination evaluates students' progress by conducting three board examination- one at the end of class 10 and the others at the end of class 11 & 12. Its head office is in Chennai.

Economic data confirms that Tamil Nadu's growth post-2005 has been heavily bolstered by the expansion of the service sector.

Tamil Nadu has a high density of engineering and polytechnic colleges, leading to the highest annual output of such graduates in India.

Statistical data regarding banking in Tamil Nadu indicates that nationalized banks hold a majority share of the branches, specifically around 52%.

According to the 2011 Census, the literacy rate of Tamil Nadu is approximately 80.09%.
