Evaporation is a physical process influenced by environmental conditions. Lower temperatures reduce the kinetic energy of water molecules, and lower wind speeds reduce the rate at which water vapor is carried away from the surface.

Water conservation aims to reduce waste and loss. A reduction in 'water fall' (precipitation) is a natural climatic event, not a beneficial effect of human water conservation efforts.

• Rainwater harvesting is the collection and storage of rainwater for reuse on-site, rather than allowing it to run off. These stored waters are used for various purposes such as gardening, irrigation, etc.
• The components of the rainwater harvesting system include  Catchments, Coarse mesh, Gutters, Conduits, First-flushing,  Filter, Storage facility.
• Conduits are pipelines or drains that carry rainwater from the catchment or rooftop area to the harvesting system. Conduits can be of any material like polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or galvanized iron (GI), materials that are commonly available.

Condensation is the process where water vapor turns into liquid water. As water vapor condenses into droplets in the atmosphere, it often collects dust and other atmospheric particles, resulting in impurities.

The water that is fit for use is freshwater.
